Service Description
Join us for an enriching training that explores the powerful integration of bibliotherapy into play therapy. This workshop will guide therapists through the intentional use of children’s literature to support emotional growth, facilitate expression, and build therapeutic rapport. Participants will learn how to select developmentally appropriate books, pair them with creative interventions, and apply them to a variety of presenting issues including anxiety, grief, trauma, emotional regulation, and self-esteem. This training will feature in-depth exploration of 15+ children’s books, including The Invisible String, The Color Monster, Brave Bart, and Beautiful Oops. For each book, therapists will gain insight into therapeutic goals, session activities, and strategies to deepen client engagement through narrative and metaphor. Whether you're new to bibliotherapy or looking to expand your therapeutic toolkit, this training offers hands-on ideas and clinical applications that will bring stories to life in your play therapy sessions.
